Resolved Question: looking for NJ/NY/PA camping way off the beaten path?

A group of a dozen or more of us are looking to hike into a spot, Maybe a good four or five mile hike in that is legal for us to camp at but not a really a camp site. Next to a stream, lake or river, Any one know of any secluded nice spots for us to go to. Prefer North Eastern PA, South Western NY or anywhere in NJ.
